Through God’s Will, to develop a year round program of Mission & Outreach education so that the congregation will be better informed and more strongly committed to supporting the mission of The United Methodist Church.

Mission Opportunities and Goals:

Feeding the Hungry

In reaching out for the needs of our community we have partnered with the Apotheca Food Pantry in Ponchatoula. Food and monetary donations can be dropped off at the church office on Mondays between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Love offering food donations will also be collected on the second Sunday of each month at the 8:30 a.m. & 10:45 a.m. service.

Bed Nets vs. Mosquitoes

Nothing But Nets is a global grass roots campaign to prevent malaria thru the purchase and Distribution of long – lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets. Malaria is a disease  spread by Mosquitoes infects nearly 500 million people each year and kills more than one million of those infected and is the leading killer of Children in Africa.

Nothing But Nets is  supported  by the  United Methodist Church’s  “Global  Health Initiative”, one of the church’s Four Areas of Focus to eliminate diseases of poverty and improve  health  conditions  for  people in the  United States  and around  the World. A donation of $10.00 can keep an entire family safe from malaria four up to four years.
