We welcome Wesley Chapel, The Well, and Lees Landing United Methodist Churches to our Cooperative Parish Church Community.
The Wesley Chapel is a United Methodist Church that serves the Ponchatoula community. They are well known in the community for their "Drive Through Bethlehem" live nativity scene done each year around the end of November.
The Well is a United Methodist community of grace, experiencing God's love together through worship, study, fellowship, and service.
The Well was our guest since the August 2017 flooding until they repaired their building enough and returned to their campus in November. The Well's campus (21400 S I-12 Service Rd in Ponchatoula) has service on Sundays at 10 am.
Lees Landing United Methodist Church has been serving folks on the east side of Ponchatoula for over 100 years. The church has a rich history of being a welcoming congregation, as well as a church that likes to go out and help others in the community. It is a small church with a big heart, and they welcome all to join their family of faith.
We will be having some functions together as we build a Cooperative Parish Church Community partnership with all of them. We enjoyed our recent ventures with The Well that included the "Trunk or Treat" held here and the Easter Sunrise Service held at their church. We are starting a new Youth in Training group as part of the Cooperative Parish Church Community and will be for youth in the fourth and fifth grade who want to be active but are not old enough for the United Methodist Youth Fellowship group. We would appreciate having adults volunteer to help with this new group.
We look forward to more shared events with all of the churches in our Cooperative Parish. Check out our calendar and youth calendars to see the joint events planned.
